The sheets are shipped dehydrated (flat). Once you hydrate the refrigerant polymer sheets with tap water, you just freeze them and then put in your cooler. They will keep your drink cold twice as long as regular ice...and no more water leaking out of your cooler! The XStra Ice is reusable; just throw it back in your freezer. Oh, by the way, you can cut the sheets down to any size you need. The uncut size is 11" x 16" and contains 24 individual "ice cubes". 1/3 of a sheet works perfectly in the XS-NRG mini-cooler.  You are going to love these!
